My teaching philosophy
“To be able to get to know the student and meet them where they are, and creating a safe space for them to become the best musician they can be.”
I believe that learning piano is more than playing the “right” notes. It's about developing the ear, the imagination, and a lifelong relationship with music.
At Creative Piano Time, founded by Anna Chowattanakul, students are guided by a pianist and piano teacher who enjoys helping learners discover the joy of music. Her lessons focus on building solid technique, musical understanding, and creativity through classical repertoire, improvisation, and ear training.
Lessons also incorporate a variety of musical styles based on each student's interests, including jazz, pop, film music, and contemporary genres. By connecting lessons to the music students love, Anna helps students stay motivated while developing strong musical skills.
Her teaching approach balances strong technical foundations with curiosity, creativity, improvisation, and musical storytelling.
